About Kodeska

The nature of work has changed irrevocably due to the global pandemic. People are questioning the need to travel large distances to work. At the same time, companies are realizing that they can trust that their workers will perform effectively whilst not in the office. People have been working from home and things are being achieved, tasks are being completed. Yet, this is not entirely satisfactory - many still feel the need to leave the home environment and to find space where they can focus, create and work undisturbed. Often they will want to feel part of a community of other creatives and workers; video-conferencing is not always the answer. Other major changes are taking place. Properties are becoming vacant across the country. Town centres are emptying and becoming desolate spaces. Due to oversupply we foresee large shifts in the relationship between landlords and tenants - we wish them to be equal partners in a business relationship. The government has realized the necessity of reducing carbon footprints due to global warming, and the role that transport plays in this.

This is why we created Kodeska

Kodeska is a platform that allows workers and creatives to find the space that suits them, and match them with the kind of spaces that property owners want to provide. This is the Work-Near-Home (WNH) movement. It is designed to bring about the end of the 1 hour commute, and all of the economic, social, environmental costs that it entails. A solution to traffic congestion is less traffic, and a walk to a local workspace is healthy too! The freedom for the worker to choose the space that they are most comfortable working in - a shared desk environment, an office pod, a barn conversion or a short-let office. Providing not only the 'trendy' Google style shared spaces but spaces suitable for differing age groups that offer privacy, room to focus, accessibility and inclusivity.

Kodeska's unique Social Positive Ranking for workspace listings are designed to foster social and environmental goals by prioritizing workspaces that have low carbon/high efficiency and align to accessibility and inclusivity goals, such as disability access and age-related aids, and ensuring that spaces encompass occupational health standards.
